Dubizzle Group partners with Tern, UAE’s first-of-its-kind rental rewards platform
New digital platform connects renters, landlords, banks and merchants through one ecosystem
DUBAI – Dubizzle Group has announced a strategic partnership and investment in Tern, the UAE’s first dedicated rental rewards platform, as the company moves to enhance the rental experience for tenants, landlords and agents across the country.
The collaboration aims to introduce a more flexible and digital approach to rent payments by allowing tenants to pay through credit cards while earning rewards without additional costs. The partnership marks another step in Dubizzle Group’s efforts to expand beyond property listings and create a broader ecosystem around renting and home management.
Through the agreement, the Tern platform will be integrated exclusively into Bayut and dubizzle, enabling tenants to access a simplified rental payment process while earning Tern Rewards points. These points can be redeemed across a network of retail, travel and lifestyle merchants, offering users additional value from one of their largest recurring household expenses.
The new solution allows tenants to manage rent payments with greater convenience while avoiding hidden charges or additional premiums linked to credit card usage. Rewards earned through the platform can be used for a range of benefits, including flights, electronics and everyday lifestyle purchases, creating a more engaging payment experience for renters.
Rental shift
For landlords, property managers and agents, the partnership introduces a streamlined digital rent collection process designed to make transactions more efficient. The platform provides property stakeholders with a solution that can improve payment management while offering tenants additional flexibility when handling rental commitments.
Tern was founded in 2024 by Said Al Sayyed and launched in May 2025. Since its introduction, the platform has developed into the UAE’s first rental rewards-focused service, with more than Dh150 million in annualised rent payment volume currently moving through its ecosystem.
By connecting tenants, landlords, banks and merchants, Tern is creating a multi-stakeholder loyalty network aimed at modernising the way rent is paid in the region. The platform combines rental transactions with rewards, bringing together different parts of the property and consumer ecosystem through a single digital experience.
Commenting on the partnership, Haider Ali Khan, CEO of Dubizzle Group UAE, said: “At Bayut and dubizzle, our focus has always been on solving real challenges across the property journey, which extends beyond just helping people find a home. Rent is one of the largest recurring expenses for most households, yet the payment experience has traditionally offered very little flexibility or added value.”
He added that Tern provides a solution to address this challenge through a partnership with an experienced founding team, offering renters a more convenient way to manage payments while creating new opportunities for landlords and agents across the UAE.
Growth plans
The investment has been made through Dubizzle Group Ventures, the group’s dedicated venture capital arm focused on early-stage technology startups across the GCC. The investment division supports emerging businesses developing scalable models across property, automotive and consumer marketplaces.
Surya Raviganesh, who leads Dubizzle Group’s investments, said the company is focused on identifying founders building innovative businesses that create value around its platforms. He highlighted the potential of partnerships with companies that can benefit from Dubizzle Group’s large and engaged audience.
Dubizzle Group’s platforms currently record 58 million monthly visits and 20 million monthly users, positioning the company as one of the region’s major digital marketplace networks. The exclusive integration with Tern further expands its role in the UAE rental sector by adding payment flexibility and rewards to the property journey.
